Immediately God told Jeremiah that he is ordained to be a prophet, Jeremiah looked at himself and said, I cannot speak because I am a youth. Isn’t that so like us? Immediately we receive the word telling us who we are in Christ or receive from God a confirmation of what He has called us to do, we come up with all kinds of fleshly physical reasons why we cannot be nor do what He has asked.
You are more than the you that you see in the mirror! Sometimes when we confess who we are in Christ, we assume we are confessing those scriptures so we can become who/what we are confessing. But the reality is that the real you (your spirit) is already exactly what the Word says. You are not going to become more than a conqueror; you are more than a conqueror! You are not going to become the righteousness of God; you are the righteousness of God! The truth is that He knew us then, and He equipped us with all we need to do and to be all He has called us to (Eph 2:10).
