Are you well discipled?
Are you strong in the Lord and living for righteousness? To live for righteousness (1Pet 2:24), we endure, suffer discipline, or undergo discipleship; to grow and mature into Sons of God. “But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you. For the Lord disciplines [chastens] the one he loves, and chastises [tutors and disciples] every son whom he receives. It is for discipline that you have to endure. God is treating you as [spiritually matured] sons. For what son is there whom his father does not discipline? If you are left without discipline, in which all [of us] have participated, then you are illegitimate children and not [spiritually matured] sons. Besides this, we have had earthly fathers who disciplined us, and we respected them. Shall we not much more be subject to the Father of spirits and live?” (1Pe 5:10, Heb 12:6-9).
